Testimonials

Had a wonderful experience making focaccia bread outdoors. We picked flowers from the garden to decorate the bread, I got to feed the chickens, we had a delicious lunch, and plenty of leftovers! Marea was so lovely and her dogs were just adorable! Definitely plan on going back!

I recently took a sourdough making class with Marea. It went quickly and at the end of the class, we took what we started home for the final phases. Marea was informative and the class was very hands-on. I’m pleased with how my first loaf came out and it was terrific when sliced!

About Us

Marea Rose Jenness
I'm passionate about nurturing life in all forms. I am happiest tending to my permaculture garden in Catalina, Arizona. I employ regenerative farming methods which includes nurturing my chickens who turn kitchen and yard scraps into fertilizer (and delicious eggs!). I also find joy in nourishing the humans around me with homemade food—from baked goods and home-brewed ginger ale to pickled vegetables.
As a retired high school biology teacher, I love to present the fascinating science behind the art of cooking.
